This opening weekend marks the beginning of The Elemental Journey Around the Sun, a 9-month herbal medicine intensive rooted in Taoist philosophy and Western herbalism.
Guided by the Wood element and the energy of Spring, this immersion explores themes of rebirth, movement, and renewal—both in the natural world and within the body.
Weekend Focus
Introduction to healing traditions from around the world
Foundations of Taoist elemental philosophy (3-, 4-, and 5-element systems)
Tending the wood element: liver, gallbladder, lymphatics, and connective tissue
Cleansing and detoxification through a seasonal lens
Connecting with the Soul of wood and the spirit of the green plants
Relationship with early spring herbs
Storytelling, plant walks, food preparation, and embodied practice
Learning unfolds through hands-on experience, shared meals, land-based study, and community dialogue. Each session is designed as a living classroom—where knowledge is not just taught, but felt and remembered.
